Looking at getting a classic to restore and keep and hopefully go up in value in a good few years, I have seen a 205 Lacoste with 25k on all original just needs a little work for £800 does anyone know if these are desirable and is it worth a punt?
Thanks

For a start your in the pre war section, should be in 05.
The Lacoste is one of the many limited edition 205 models Peugeot made.I would not say they are desirable but quite rare, there must only be a handful R/H models in the UK.They are a very simple car to work on and parts are always available, especially in France. The only bits you may find hard to find would be the various items that are unique to a Lacoste, like trim, badges etc, making restoration to original spec`difficult. As for making money? I don`t think so.With most classics the owner spends more money on the restoration than the car is worth.£800 for a nice limited edition 205 that's done 25K,yes its worth a punt. get everything working correctly, keep the body and paint immaculate, keep it 100% original spec`and you will have a nice little fun car that may be worth the money you have spent??
