Hi, it's time for my introduction. I have owned at least one Peugeot 404 since the very beginning of 1981, so that's getting on there. My first was a 1967 404 Coupé Injection in silver, which have 110,000 miles when I bought it. I drove it every day to 150,000 and then someone backed into it in a parking lot and I gave up, selling it in 1985. Then I had a 1963 404 saloon which I converted to KF2 fuel injection. That injection engine came out of a wrecked 404 Cabriolet, an engine that I had bought in 1981 as insurance for the silver 404 C. Well after sitting in a box disassembled for 7 years, it was surprisingly easy to bring the injection engine back to life. It ran for 80,000 km in the 1963 car (also a daily driver) before the bodyshell rotted away. I still have the remains of that engine....... In 1989 I bought my present 404 Coupé Injection from its second owner. It is a restoration project car, although I have driven it a couple of thousand miles over the last 20 years. Since I bought it, I have been collecting the bits and pieces that will be needed for its restoration, which is being put off while our children go through expensive university programs here in Canada. Among the new old stock parts I've found for it are: - new floor panels
- new front wings
- new rear wings
- new L side sill panel
- new bonnet
- new floor buttresses (those are still available)
- new frame channel sole panels for the front
- new McPherson Strut reinforcements
- new rear snow shield
- new inner LR wing splash panel that goes to the wing bottom and jack mount
- inner headlight rings (welded to wings and nose cowl)
I've also got a few other things for the mechanicals: - spare cylinder head (4 port injection)
- spare piston/liner kit for the KF2 engine (0111.31)
- new crown wheel in bronze and matching steel worm gear
- new OEM front shocks
- new KF2 distributor
- rebuild kit for injection pump
- new hydrovac brake booster
- new taillight lenses and front turn signal lenses (multiples)
- new brake cylinders
- spare Injection engine gasket kits
- spare brake hydraulic kits and much much MUCH more....
I also have some of the factory tool kits, most notably for the Injection engine adjustments, plus an English factory workshop manual for the 404 Injection engine (which I could make copies of). The plan is to do a comprehensive body restoration in a few years' time and then I will do all of the mechanical work myself. The 404 Injection engine is beautiful, the nicest engine I've had in any car, and I am looking forward to bringing her back onto the road sometime in the next decade. Anyway, hello to all of you! PS: I also had a 405 DL (Canadian model) which lasted 366,000 km until the engine died by a massive coolant leak into cylinder#3. It's being hauled off to the crusher shortly. New Peugeots have been unavailable in North America (Mexico excluded) since 1991.

Good afternoon everybody! ;D This is spaniard Guillermo or William (as you prefer), I am writing from Valencia, Spain. I just have discovered this website and because I like to travel with my car a lot, well, I was thinking, why not register? Just in case you go to the UK sometime by car you can always go to an event and meet new people over there. So here am I, presenting myself and my wonderful car: Nos vemos por el foro! P.S: You can find me in flickr by "GuilleB&W3600", just in case that we´ve got someone else aswell with an account over there.

Hi All A long overdue introduction from me - I've owned an 98' 406 Coupe D8 V6 manual in Sat Grey with Blue Florio interior ( my 1st and only Pug to date ) since 2006. One of the best cars i've owned and driven ( and I've been through a few over the years - too many to list here ;D) The pic here is taken on the banking at Millbrook on CPUK's Wheels and Wings day out last year ;D Martin
