Following on the now closed Andyspares discussion of organising a Retro French Car Show in 2006 at Kemble Airfield, Club Peugeot are making progress. We are now meeting Kemble Airfield representatives next week. If we come to an agreement then its all on aiming for sometime in July 2006. We've have had some great emails from people including those in 2CVGB club, Simca Club, and PSOOC expressing their interest and offering contacts. Can I ask all those who joined the last discussion thred on Andyspares to make a note of events@clubpeugeotuk.org which is my club address, for contact about the event. These are exciting times for us owners of the non chav'd French cars, and we also need your help to get this off the ground. If your a car club member, please could you put me in contact with your events co-ordinator. Any other thoughts please feel free to email them to me, or post on the Club Peugeot UK forum, www.clubpeugeotuk.org where an identical thred has been left. Regards Mat Tuck CPUK Events.

I'll be up for this event. When my PSOOC membership expires i'm joing here. Nothing against them, but i'm sick of reading the "will a Murciealago ebgine fit my 106?" threads, as if they've really got one knocking about in the shed...
My 406 has a boot spoiler and front high beam spots but isn't really chavved. Is that acceptable?

My 406 has a boot spoiler and front high beam spots but isn't really chavved. Is that acceptable? hmm...I THINK you'll find that on the 406 a boot spoiler was only standard fitment from June 23rd to August 17th 2005 while front high beam spots were offered in two forms, Cibie from April 15th 2005 until August 16th when the factory changed to Hella units in the UK, so unless your car was made on the 17th August 2005 AND has the Hella lamps then I'm afraid it is modified and CPUK may not be the club for you. hee hee Only joshing!. Happy to have any Peugeot. And as any fule nows the Murciealago engine is just a highly developed TU engine, so of course it fits er, I'll get my coat

Were having to look at this concept, as the Kemble venue looks to be unsuitable as its simply not going to cater for all CPUK members. Watch this space!
