I test drove several new cars last year, this was before the 107 & 1007 were available. My mate was looking for a new sub 10k car. We drove the new Seat Ibiza 1.2, Hyundai Getz Turbo Diesel, Citroen C2. The Seat went well, the 3 cylinder engine was a stonker, but the whole package was a little boring. The Hyundai with the 3 cylinder turbo diesel was fab, well screwed together, went like stink but the handling wasn't a match for the Ibiza, but I liked the turbo kick on the Getz. Last car of that day was the then new Citroen C2, 3dr 1.1. Oh dear, we both felt very unsafe, the handling didn't let you know what was happening to the car on the road, the feedback was hidious. Now my mate who is a bit of a woose when it comes to cars was driving first, and all he could say was I don't feel safe. Thats coming from a man who drove a Ford Ka. I had to agree it wasn't a nice drive. I hope that Peugeot have done a good suspension tune up for 107 / 1007 and that the HDi unit copes with car's top heavy feel.

Well from what l have heard the 107 tri-pot engine is a gem. Apparently it sounds a bit like a Porsche!!!!!.
l for one though don't really like the 107. l do however like the 1007 with its van looks and Leyland Sherpa sliding doors.

Believe me smb, it (the 1007) drives like an old Van too. It is absolutely rediculous. I can't stop ranting about it, as you know. It's so un-speakably awful. In fact, it's worth test-driving for sheer comedy factor. Remote control sliding doors are very gimmicky and bloody slow and awful. I did enjoy driving along with the driver's door open but it refused to shut until I stopped. I guess I should have pulled off the motorway before I decided to try it out, especially as it was October and raining cats and dogs !
