Since it was announced yesterday that private Peugeot's will be entering the WRC next year with Bozian & Astra Racing I think we should have a Motorsport section. Bozian Racing: www.rallystuff.net/news.php?id=31Astra Racing: www.rallystuff.net/news.php?id=32As I am sure quite a lot of you know, PSA (Peugeot & Citroen) pulled out of the WRC at the end of the 2005 season along with Mitsubishi & Skoda. Because this leaves only two teams (Subaru & Ford) who will both be entering their new look challengers ( See Ford Images Here), the FIA have decided to allow private teams to challenge for the FIA Manufacturers Title. Bozian Racing will be classed as a 'Manufacturer 2' team. This means they will be competing for the new title for 2006 in the Manufacturer 2 Championship. They will be running two Peugeot 307 WRC's with 2005 spec, which means they are allowed active-diffs. Their two drivers are: former World Champion, Petter Solberg's brother, Henning Solberg, as well as Manfred Stohl, who was the highest finishing privateer in 2005. As for Astra Racing, they will be competiting in Monte Carlo with a Peugeot 307 WRC with 4th overall in 2005, Toni Gardemeister.
