Hi, Your tests show it is a dodgy water sensor. You do need to know if you have Bosch or Lucas fuel system. If Lucas, the sensor screws into the side of the filter housing and you can order replacement at any branch of LSUK. The Bosch sensor is integral with the filter housing so you need to replace the housing. Try Watson Diesel 0208 8793854 (Bosch agent) or local branch of GSF. Regards, Donaldiesel

Hi Donaldiesel, it says Purflux on the side of the housing. I opened up the loom & have re taped the wires with insulation tape & spiral wrap & run them in a loop, getting rid of the sharp angle that they were at. I did this as i found that hitting a bump would activate the light & vice versa. Yesterday morning the light came on when i started then went out & stayed out all day. Hopefully it's down to a bad connection. Best Regards. Neil.

Hi Neil, Most annoying these intermittant faults, even giving intermittant test results. Sounds like you have got it sorted so well done. Purflux filter is used with Bosch fuel system and comes in different heights. Light coming on for a few seconds on start up is ok as it is just checking the circuit. Regards, Donaldiesel
