Hi
My friend has a 607 (05reg) & the boot won't open by using either the remote or the switch on the boot lid.
We have tried another remote but it still won't open.
Can anyone tell me if there is a fuse for the boot lid?

Yes, but I couldn't tell you offhand which one.
Are you hearing the boot lock servo trying to activate, or is it just totally dead/silent?

I had this and it was broken wires in the loom that run along the n/side hinge. The only way to open the boot is from the inside!!Pull down the back seat, crawl in with a torch and a small screwdriver.Have a look at the lock to find a small 3-4 mm hole, poke in the driver and it will release the lock and up pops the boot lid.It took me most of the day to find this out. There is no other way to open it manually,so check it all out before you shut the lid or you will end up like I was crawling in and out with a torch. Not one of Peugeot`s best ideas.

Failing the above, try this...
try re syncronising the key.
Switch ignition on with the key to be resync press and hold lock button for 10seconds switch off and remove key wait 5 seconds then lock and unlock then try the boot
If that lot doesn't work, you may need a new striker. Reset the system by replacing the blown fuse and you can then open it to fit the new one, hopefully.
good luck.

Mentioned this to a contact, he'd found one on a 607 that had somehow bent and caused the same problem. Wouldn't respond to button or key. He'd also heard of catches failing and doing the same, but never dealt with one himself.
Probably clutching a straws after all the other good tips, but seeing as the guy asked for help I shan't apologise for emailing a pug tech for advise. A positive attitude, even if we can't help him, might generate another paying member for the club, so I would ask that such comments are worded more constructively, or else kept off the 07 forum altogether.

It'd be a happier Christmas if that tasty 405 wagon of yours were in my stocking!
No...? Dammit!
