Hi all!
Can anyone tell me what type battery should be on my 304. I got told that an 063 would fit but they are too long.
Also how is your battery secured? Mine was held on with a bungee cord when I bought it, and I don't think that's standard! There is a hole on the battery tray edge but there's no captive nut like most cars.
Any pointers welcome!! Ta!

My 304 is off having its head gasket replaced - after core plug blew out on M80 - but I'll try and have a look at the battery and its fitment this week.

Cheers Kerry! If you could make a note of the make and model of the battery too. That would be great!
Which core plug blew? The big one in the centre of the head?

Dave: had a look and all the info I can glean off the battery is that it is a Unipart Calcium pt no: GBA3057 Also, it says En 30 on it. Does this help? It is fixed with a single clamp at the rear. It was the big middle core plug which had been poorly fixed. Car now with a garage that understands old cars - and core plugs!

That's great Kerry! Many thanks for that! I'll give my pars supplier a ring and see if they do an equivalent battery. I'm a fair way off worrying about battery fitting just yet but it's good to plan ahead!
Hope you get back on the road soon!!
