I need to have a fuel injector replaced on my peugeot 206 1.1 2004 petrol engine. I have been quoted a price of £360 for the part plus 2 hours labour. This labour includes some time spent looking and checking the coil pack. Can anyone please tell me if this is a resonable price? Thanks in advance.

Very common fault on 206`s,and I bet its number four? 2 Hrs labour is reasonable if it includes diagnostics and ECU reset after the repair. As for the cost of ONE?!! injector, where on earth did they get that price £360!!!!! from??? I get the original injectors for a 206 from GSF car parts, which has branches all over the UK,they cost between £50 and £75 + VAT depending on the engine code. I think they are quoting the price of a set of four from a main dealer? If the fault code says one injector there is no point replacing all four.

Thanks for reply oldpug. Can I just clarify the cost of the whole job to replace one injector is £360 and the not the cost for one injector itself. I was just asking to find out if anyone thinks that is a good price for the job. The price of the injector itself is £90 but the garage want to charge £270 for 2 hours labour.

That`s the opposite now,the cost of the injector is about right, the cost of the labour is outrageous!! its more than my local Peugeot Main Dealer would charge.
Is the job being done by a Ferrari Main Dealer in London??
A small independent Peugeot specialist would charge £50-£65 +VAT an hour.

I had the same thing happen to mine as has yours... number 4 went first then a couple of months later another went... cost each time was £126 (and that was for bosch injector, labour, fitting & anything else that was needed). Please don't pay £360! outrageous!
