Hi all, Has anyone experienced this situation? I recently brought a 2006 406HDi, I noticed that the coolant gauge was temperemental. Upon Looking around the rad was cracked on the bottom plastic pipe. I have now had this changed, while on idle the gauge goes up to 70 which is the start of the numbers on the gauge then it goes back down to the blue section after a while. The bottom hose going into the rad gets hot but the rad does not get warm at all and neither does the top hose going to the thermostat. I have just tried replacing the thermostat and the situation has not changed. Also the heaters inside the cab work fine. So was thinking it cannot be the water pump? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Sure it's a 406? The 407 replaced it in early 2005.
Sounds like it might not be bled properly.
