Hi (first post so don't blow me out of the water if I've contravened any sacred cows etc.,) following my Haynes manual I've repaired my bent valves but there are no 9.5mm holes in the cam pulleys to locate to put on new belt! Any one got any hints tips tricks or procedures, please?

The locating holes are in the cam pulley mounting plates and are 6mm at 7 o'clock for the exhaust cam and 5 o'clock for the inlet cam! My next problem is belt tension as I don't have an electronic doofer; anyone got any suggestions?

Garages don't use the electronic roofer either! If you can twist the belt by more than 45 degrees means the belt's too slack!! But much more seriously the bottom aux., pulley has the crankshaft alignment hole BUT the pulley has a vibration damper which can allow the timing hole can migrate! This means that the timing hole doesn't align the crankshaft correctly I damaged my Inlet valves WATCH OUT!!!

I have kept a spare crankshaft pulley for checking ever since I did my first cambelt on this engine.ALSO!! the last time I got a NEW! pulley from Euro Car Parts the hole was miles out!!!
