Hi Guys. My '88 205GTI (1.9) has always chugged slightly at lower engine revs making her a bit tiresome to drive in town. Recently the problem's been getting worse and today she was chugging after engine-overrun on the motorway. She has about 110k miles on the clock but generally runs smoothly with good power. A petrol additive seemed to help a bit but the problem was just as bad on the next tankful. Any suggestions? I'd be very grateful. W.
