i am new so sorry firstly.
I have just bought a 1999 1.9 peugeot expert van. When i lifted the bonnet i noticed a diesel leak coming from a thing! It is coming from the laft side front of the engine from a nut that is over 20mm is pretty ig and looks like it has a small nut in font of that. What is it please and should there be a seal behind the nut? I know its a long shot but i cant fix it until i know what it is

Does it look anything like this?? if the small nut in your description secures an electrical lead it is the fuel stop solenoid.Which is a common fuel leak fault.
