Peugeot 403 in Thailand

I have acquired a 403 and am starting the restoration process.

My first question is this: How do I identify the year? I have searched for a place to "decode" the VIN, but without success.

Type: 403B

Type: 2594629

Weight: 1565kg

From the chassis number and the fact that the car has the modified windscreen washers on the bonnet (which were put there from 1959)the car is a 1960. The first chassis number in that series for 1960 was 2474001 which would mean that your car was 120,000 after that. It was right on the last year for production before it was replaced by 404.
