Hi, I'm new here, and was wondering if I could have some advice please?
I've owned my 307 2002 diesel estate for just over 3 years and it's been the best car I've ever owned, I love it. However in the last three months it has literally started to fall apart, now my husband turned the key and the engine is turning over but not firing into life. Got GEM out and the mechanics did all his computer expertise and the fault p0336 cam up. He told me after changing the crankshaft sensor and the camshaft sensor that it's still showing the fault and it must be the CPU (am I right?).
Changing the computer in the car is going to cost me an arm and a leg and is more than the car is worth. I haven't got a lot of money
Is there anyway I can save my car? I have no mechanics knowledge in the computer ruled cars
Thank you

Your title says 306 and the text 307 ?? Any way what ever model it is its highly UNLIKELY to be the ECU, most probably a wiring fault,(bad connection, broken wire, bad earth, that sort of thing). No disrespect to GEM,but they are just breakdown guys, throwing parts at the car is not the way to go.Will they refund the cost of the sensors?? What you need to do is find a small independent Peugeot specialist who has the latest Peugeot diagnostic kit.Someone who knows these cars and their wiring systems.

Hi thanks for your reply
It is a 307. Problem is that the car is completely dead. And unless we call out a tow truck can't get it anywhere.
Its already been to two garages, and has just got a whole years MOT.

As I said,if you want your car fixed it will have to be taken to someone who knows what they are doing.Locate a Peugeot/Citroen expert and get it transported there.Yes,It will be expensive, but you have wasted money already and got no where.
