Bought low mileage 406HDI 2 years ago and didn't get keys for locking wheel nuts. Need to change tyres (nearly illegal) and don't want to pay for them to be removed at Peageot Garage. All local Tyre shops are not equipped for these specials. I fear Peugeot dealership will charge arm and leg to drill out. Any solutions out there?

Hi
For starters these locking bolts are even easier to get off then the one they replaced, The older Peugeot lockers are a right swine to get off.
These ones are pretty simple, You could get hold of some cheap sockets the right size & hammer them on & then undo the locking bolts.
You could drill a pilot hole in the middle & then use a stud extractor tool to undo the locking bolt.
Also, Places like Halfords sell tools for getting locking nuts off too.
Or your local Peugeot / Citroen dealer will have the keys to get these off, Theres only about 20 different keys anyway.
Pick a quite time & mention beer tokens to a Peugeot mechanic & he would gladly remove your locking bolts.
A new key is £27 from Peugeot, But you need the code before they can order one, A new set of 4 locking bolts with 2 keys is only £20.
