I have a 405 GLX 95' estate 1.9TDI.....The rear wheels are tilting and I seem to be getting a wobble in the rear when I go up over 60 -65 MPH.....I have been told I need to replace the Bushings / bearings in the rear.
Can anyone tell me 1. does sound right and 2. if this is a job I can do myself or is it for a GURU expert??
Many thanks

Hi Yes this sounds like worn bearings in the rear torsion bar assy. It is possible to change these yourself, BUT, Its a right pig of a job to do & without the right tools you will struggle. It would be far easier & a lot less stress on yourself to get hold of a good second hand rear axel or get a reconditioned one fitted. www.sspengineering.co.uk/ This place does reconditioned units with 2 year warranty & offer a fitting service too if needed.
