Pity it's me being overtaken though. In car video from a very fast track 205 Gti 1.9 16v www.mdracing.co.uk/movie16.aspclick on laps 5 and 6 to see the old girl beaten!

Hey looks like you were having some good fun! Just watched the video full screen on the projector life size! That 205 had some speed up on the dials!

How fast was he going. He was the fastest car in my session I think.
Fastest car of the day was a 194mph black cosworth sierra. Blimey.

That was me in the passenger seat! Andy, have a look in the events section on the PSOOC, Im sure there were a few more pics of the ZS, along with a few on MD. Not sure what the speed of the 205 was (I hit about 110 before avon) but he was carrying about 85mph through camp, and thats before the lsd goes in! I wonder how fast the 205 will go when Jon actually starts modding the engine Hmm, 194mph RS, wonder who told you that......! Remember, that was just his average speed over about 3 runs. Think he topped out at about 198mph, but not sure of his top speed at combe. He seemed a lot faster last year, and he was wearing a silencer. Still had the 3 foot flames though I also watched my footage on a big old projector screen at college today. Looks so much better when your cars on a screen thats about 4ft by 4ft, lol!

yes, just re-read that. Not that fast at combe obviously!! Must have misheard top speed by a few mph (at that speed whoes counting!) looked scarey quick though. Loved the flames, but preferred the cossie engined Mk1 Escort, so much more stylish.
That was the good thing about Combe, the variety of cars. There are a few pics of the ZS on the PSOOC and on Jon's site. i thought the engine was modded already, or are ALL Mi16 conversions that quick?

Jon's Mi is pretty much as standard, just a longman exhaust manifold. Standard power is 160, his is 170bhp, and fully stripped! Think of the guy running a 270bhp Mi, or the turbo'd RWD Mi 205, and not forgetting the Carb'd turbo Mi! Get the 205 down to a nice weight and you have some hefty go. Thats why Im looking forwards to my new engine! ;D
