ive got a 1999, pug 405 2.1TD (not HDI), it has air-con, but when i put my heaters or anythin on even without air con, i get a loud clicking noise from behind my glovebox? any ideas what this could be? does my air-con just need filling up or is it something else. Theres a black plastic cylinder shape behind the glovebox, and theres a black box thing on the side which i can feel the clicking coming from!! i think the only way it doesnt click is if you put recirculate air on

The noise is the recirc flap motor, it lives behind the glove box, they are a very common problem. they are easy to replace but the part is expensive!

Thanks mate. Any idea how i get to it or anything? i know where theres an identical car to mine in the scrapyard and all the bits are there! Is the recirc flap motor inside the black box next to the black plastic cylindrical shaped thing?
