The 504 had a hiccup today, it didn't breakdown in true 504 style it kept going, however the the rubber cap on the end injector leak off dropped off. It sprayed diesel everyware I drove, leaving a big puddle outside my house. Now how easy is it to find a small rubber pipe/bung when you want one? Impossible. Cost a few pence I bet but I didn't have anything. Did the next best thing, put the kettle on and phoned Carole Nash (my insurance) who sent round a helpfull bloke in Peugeot Van! Fixed in 3 minutes. Lesson, go to Lucas and buy a leak of set and keep as a spare you never know when you're going to spring a leak.
