hi, I am new to the world of peugeot,
I have just got a 405 Hunter, and have a rev counter that don't work at times.
Dose anyone know about testing this, and where is the sender on the engine, think I have found the plug connector for it in the engine bay. I seems to work when the weather is cool and only for a while.
Any help would be great. thanks

Hi Welcome to the Club Peugeot UK Forum, you don't say if this is petrol or diesel. If it is diesel there should be a magnetic pulse sender kind of device on the flywheel which passes a sensor mounted I think on the bell housing of the gearbox? It is then amplified for the rev counter. The socket you refer to I expect is the Peugeot Diagnostic socket, which does also take a feed from this sensor. It might be worth taking out the instrument panel and checking all the sockets are firmly connected, you might find one has become loose.
