i have posted a message previously about a 307 Hdi that keeps losing power. the air flow meter needed changing 70ish quid, however, the main problem is a value that allows air through to the inlet (i think) on tick over it is closed and when you drive the value opens fully and lets air through. it is connected to the ECU and this appears to be the problem, it wants to close the valve. a small bore pipe goes into the side of this value housing and this has been taken off so that the value is open all the time.
does anyone know if this ok if this valve is kept open.
