My 206 lx (1999) is starting to smell fumey inside the car - the other night I nearly passed out and it still smells like there are fumes getting in the car and sometimes I feel dizzy - anybody had this happen. Also, my central locking won't work at all - just pops back up - anybody got any clues how I can get this fixed - I am Birmingham based. p.s - pleased to be a new member  |

Sounds like you have a leak from the exhaust somewhere,probaly towards the engine. Jack the car up get under and have a good look around.
You say the central locking pops back up, so its trying to work if you like? If this is so check all your doors and boot are closed right.if they are it colud be a falut with the drivers door lock or the BSI!

Also check oil has not be spilt when topping up and has run on to the exhaust, this can cause all sorts of smells when it burns off as well.

Firstly I would say; DO NOT continue to drive the vehicle.. you may die!! Exhaust fumes are poisonous -carbon monoxide is lethal. Get it checked over asap.
Could be an exhaust leak or even a split fuel pipe -in which case u also run the risk of spontaneous combustion. Hope this helps, Byeeee
