I have a 2003 106 1.1i with one of those dipsticks with a yellow, plastic (4cm ish) guage at the reading end.
This morning, I went to check my oil only to find that the plastic bit at the end had snapped off somehow! Not really a problem, a new dipstick is easy to get. But I now have 3-4cm of thin plastic rattling around in my sump. Is that going to cause me any oil pickup problems or is it not big enough?
Cheers!

this is a common porblem, I would fit a new dipstick and not worry about it.

Thanks...
I reasoned it wasn't too much of a problema s I have driven nearly 200 miles since with no problems. I would expect the oil pick-up pipe to be protected by a gauze of some sort right?
One new dipstck required...
