My brakes appear to be making a grinding noise, but only when hot.
Symptoms are a grinding sound but only after long braking, for instance gently slowing down from 60 to traffic lights etc. I can brake hard for short periods of time without grinding, so I guess its only when they are hot.
Plenty of pad material left, discs might be getting a bit thin but wouldn't have thought to that extent. Am I wrong about the discs? The other thought is a buildup of crap between the discs and the caliper (As my car hasn't been near a wash in about 6 months!) that is rubbing when the disc is hot and expands...ideas?

If there is a lip on the discs it could be grinding on the pads.
