Rally car day at Castle Combe What a fantastic selection of cars, including two 205 T16's, both seen hammering round the circuit along with a Lancia 037, Stratos, Audi Sport Quattro, Metro 6R4's, Fiat 131 Abarths and many more! Rain spoiled play in the afternoon but the ZS had a track session booked along with a load of pugs from the PSOOC so out we went...and off we went. Boy was the track slippery. Pretty much everyone span including a lovely Integrale who remoddled his rear end on the tyres. The ZS was doing OK, a bit sideways though, until the 205 I was chasing lost it and I had to brake. Corner, wet, brakes, that's never good so... oooops... and stop! No harm done, and great fun all round. Full pics of the session can be found here, great pic of 104ZS leading an Integrale and a quattro into a corner!! www.pearsosphotographic.co.uk/events/050813_Rally_Day/photos/1630/index.html

Looks like fun! Had a family BBQ on Sunday, my uncle said "You should of been at Coombe yesterday and took the Peugeot out", then I remembered you were there! he didn't recall the 104 but then again he wouldnt know what one looked like!! I was working or would have come along. What happened to your bonnet?

What happened to your bonnet? It's a Stuart Bird inspired cooling aid. Bolted two of the bonnet screws under the arms to lift the back up and let the hot air out. Works too, you can feel it after a good thrash! 104 cooling system is pretty marginal in standard trim so this seemed a good idea.

Sorry Andy, I now see what you're PM was about! Funnily enough I had a bit of sideways action coming out of camp this weekend. Two fun laps on the parade (dubs rear brakes lock up before the front so track time is being held off for now) with some rather sticky Yoko A008's, then on the 3rd lap coming out of camp, it got a bit hectic but I managed to hold it. Turns out the rear left was flat! Doh. Managed to get the tyre off the rim (175/50/13's) but think we got it sorted. No idea how it went down in the first place.
As for the day, it was good but I was so wet we decided to take off a bit early.
