My father has just given me a worshop manual for a 404. We had 2 of them and the last one was from around 1980.
Our first car was aparently driven accross a desert, I forget which one, but she ended up white and red in our garden, to rot.
Our second one we bought for around £600 somewhere near Peterborough in England. My recollection might be wrong but we bought a white one from a farm owner........., I think, I was only aged 9-ish. My Dad sold her on and I have no idea where to......
Anyway, I have in my possession a workshop manual for a 404, the full thing, and would be interested if anyone would like it.
Offers would be appreciated

Which 404 models does your manual cover? I may be interested if it includes the Cabriolet and KF injection engines. Please e-mail me on abey@heathfield.org.uk. Thanks

Is this a Haynes type manual or a factory Peugeot manual.

Hi there the manual is a black ring bound affair, not Haynes. It was printed in 1978, in France, and covers all manner of stuff. I've had a brouse through and engines mentioned are 8cv and 9cv and cabriolets are covered too. One page shows rear suspension set ups for cabrio and saloons. There is about 2 inches thick of diagrams, graphs, settings, special tools etc etc I haven't spotted anything on injection engines but I haven't looked that hard-any pointers? Regards Julian
