hi, i was wondering if you more knowledgable peugeot-eers could help me... does anybody know any information about the 405 'style' range, im guessing that its a special edition version of the GR/GL?? the age in question is dec94...
also, does anybody know how much a mint condition 405 T16 would be worth?
thanks, tom.

The UK "Style" range of Peugeot came out from 1990 for 205, and 1991/92 for 309, 405 ranges.
On 405 this was 1.4, 1.6 petrol and 1.9 diesel.
As far as I am aware it was the lowest specification on these models following the discontinuation of the GE and XE badges. Style sits below GL. I think the Style ranges started way back in 1985 with the 104 Z Style.

thanks for the info about the style range, i cant believe they put a 1.4 in a 405 it must be dreadfully slow, ive never heard of one before. and i dont have a T16 (i wish) its just a dream of mine, and i wondered how much one would cost me if i could find one in the first place!! thanks.

Well the TU3 motor did push out 75bhp in the 405. In the similar mechanic'd Citroen BX they even went as low as 1124cc in France. The 1.9 Diesel pushed out less power, but more torque and more MPG.

Theres a few guys that I know of who run T16's, but not sure of the price. I always thought it was worth around 7-8k as i've seen some on ebay and on a few other forums. Mind you, with the problems I get with my Mi, I wouldnt touch a T16. I'll stick to my back to basics carb'd GTi! Less electrical junk to go wrong.

ok thanks for the info both of you, and ive got a 1.9 d and it doesnt pull too badly so maybe the 1.4 isnt that bad! the 1.1 BX sounds bad though! thanks again.

Hi Just joined this site and wanted to put in my 2 penath. Ther was a variation ov the style used in the 405 called the Quazzar. We have the TD estate version. It came with a sunroof and alloys If I could get hold of a desent 405 1.4 I would love one to replace my Citroen AX. but they seem to be very thin on the ground.

By the way if you have alloys with the big center bits that fly off, atatch them with 2 small self tapping screws. cover the screws with a good amount of copper slip and dot forget to carry a screw driver to remove them. They only need to be about half inch long.
