Hi All, I have had an L 1993 405 hunter now of a little while, and I have only seen two others like it on the road in the uk. Was the Hunter a limited edition 405 model? It has a green metalic paint job, tinted windows, air con and a 1.9 XUD desiel turbo engine, tow bar, driving spots and front fog lights etc. Any info would great.

Hi yes, it was a limited edition. At the time Peugeot went through yet another phase of limited edition models, but this time using old Rootes Group model names! (Rootes Group was absorbed in to Peugeot). The 205 got the "Sceptre" and 405 (Estate only) got "Hunter".

To my trusty Department of Transport data, I can tell you that taxed on the road at the end of 2004 were : 934 I don't know how many were registered though. That might sound a lot, but if you compair it to a model like the GTX DT there are 5124 combined saloon & estate. Keep it nice now and it will be a rare car sooner than you think. Mick Huntley our 405 registrar knows this model inside and out, any problems and your a member he's the man in the know.
