Hi all, I am new to the Peugeot forum but am pleased to join as I currently have a problem with my 205 diesel. Its a normally aspirated model but has power steering and is a 1994 'M'reg vintage. My issue is that 'mags' has developed extremely heavy steering and I have changed the PAS pump but still the problem persists. I have checked for fluid leaks but all looks okay? Has anyone got an idea of what this problem might be? I was wondering if it could be a steering rack but can only see manual racks advertised and not PAS racks? Ideally I would love to keep her on the road as she is a superb driver when running well and so frugal and easy to park (when the steering works!) Your help is greatly appreciated Thanks, Mupps

I`ve never known racks to seize up,also the valve body in the rack normally just keeps working. Two items that ARE prone to seizing on old 205`s are the swivel bearings in the top strut mountings and the U/J in the steering column.
