Hi Guys. My '88 205GTI (1.9) has always chugged slightly at lower engine revs making her a bit tiresome to drive in town. Recently the problem's been getting worse and today she was chugging after engine-overrun on the motorway. She has about 110k miles on the clock but generally runs smoothly with good power. A petrol additive seemed to help a bit but the problem was just as bad on the next tankful. Any suggestions? I'd be very grateful. W. Pug 2.jpg

It might not work although I've found that it helps on most fuel injected cars that are not running 100% smoothly: Remove the throttle body and give it a good clean with carb cleaner to get rid of any oily sludge which may have built up on it.
