We own a 1991 Peugeot 309 Gti that has been stored in a garage since '91 and consequently only has 126 miles on the clock.
We're now looking to get a valuation for it, initially for insurance purposes, although the car may well become for sale, but I understand this is a fairly unique car and so it hasn't been easy. Unfortunately we don't have much experience with this, and I'd be grateful for any advice on what procedure might be best with a view to eventually selling a car - or anything particular to keep in mind.
Does anyone feel they can help?
Many thanks!

A 309 GTi with 126miles on the clock !!! now that is a very very interesting car, putting a value on it is very difficult and would depend on a lot of things. It's not a Goodwood model by any chance? only 398 of those were ever produced.
So it's been stored for 25 years, how has it been stored? does it start? can it be driven? has the paint gone "dead"? is there mould in the leather?has it got damp and rusty? all that sort of stuff, putting a value on a dead "barn find" is almost impossible. If that car was put back on the road fully serviced with an MOT,fully valeted, gleaming looking like new, everything working,Then advertised on the net I think you would get offers starting at £15K and could well go over £20K. Who knows? its worth as much as someone is prepared to pay. I bet there are a few CPUK members checking their finances at this very moment.
