Hello, Newbie post, so be gentle I've a 206 XS 1.6 Petrol which I've owned since May 99. The first (and only!!) car I ever bought new. It's been off the road for 2 years, sitting my garage looking forlorn, and I'm at the point where I need to work out do I keep it and possibly get it tidied up, or do I just scrap it? It's got 140k miles, engine is in good nick as is the bodywork - no rust and just a couple of parking dents/scratches. Interior is reasonably tidy, although there is a rip in the side of the drivers seat. It needs a new exhaust as it failed its last MOT on emissions. I replaced the gearbox 2 years ago (had fun trying to find one), but it occasionally gets stuck in between gears, so I guess that would need replaced/stripped down. I had romantic notions of keeping it for a few years and then getting it properly tidied up, but I dunno if that's a realistic aim or not. Maybe I just need to let it go? Is there much of a market for guys buying these for parts/restoration, or should I just scrap it? Cheers!
