Hi, just joined up to tell you all about a Peugeot 104 that needs your help! A mate of mine scrapped it (yes - he is a moron, I've told him so) the other day and I have been told that its going in the crusher on tuesday which is a real shame. It runs and drvies (just, few minor problems, nothing major) and had (and may even still have) a current MOT!!! Its a 4-door S in silver and has a little rust on the bottom of the doors and in a few other places and a couple of dents here and there but nothing that isn't fairly easily fixable. The reg is RPR609X and the car is located at East Anglia Car Recycling, Rackheath Industrial Estate, Norwich. Here's a pic: You have 36 hours!

In case anyone is interested, the car is (was) mine...
I scrapped it because I need a runaround, not some expensive project vehicle. The electrics were failing (alternator couldn't supply enough to operate lights / engine / windscreen wipers), the carb is mixing completely random amounts of petrol into the engine, the doors are rusting nicely, i suspect the head gasket is going, the nearside CV boot needs doing and the headlight needs replacing (see my pheasant post).
However, if anyone is feeling brave enough to take on this car, I have not sent of the V5 yet, it is taxed until march and MOT'd until July. It even has a full tank of fuel...

What happened then? did anybody save the old girl? Not to my knowledge - no-one has PM'ed me to ask about how they get hold of the documents and 'Labrat' hasn't mentioned anything to be so I'd guess she's been baled

Shame. Just goes to show how little interest in 104's there is! Truely a forgotten car!
