I was persuaded to take the Golf GTi to the annual CPUK lunch on Sunday as it was quite a long trip and my wife has no confidence in the ability of the ZS to complete a trip to Tesco, let alone halfway accross the country.
Anyway it was a nice relaxing trip, until the gear selector mechanism broke. Luckily it was only a mile or so from the lunch venue so with help from Stuart Bird, we struggled into the cr park, very late and managed to wait the THREE HOURS!! for the RAC in comfort.
Whilst waiting THREE HOURS!!! for the RAC Mick Huntley managed to fix the linkage in the car park - hooray and many many thanks!
Next outing is Peugeot all the way.
