Thanks for the welcome Sadly my car didn't arrive on Sunday, due to the previous owner forgetting to deliver it! Do'h! Nevermind, as long as a get my new toy soon eh... Went for a 309, it needs about £200 worth of work doing, but at £100 for a 1989 pug with only 50k on the clock, a mint engine and bodywork, the temptation was just too much to refuse. Currently toying with the idea of lowering it and getting some 205 GTi alloys, not sure at the moment, just depends on what funds will allow... Any reccomendations (sp?) would be a great help thanks And hopefully when i get driving I'll pop along to some meets *thumbs up*

Hello Nutter!
Glad to hear that you bought a Pug as first car - good choice & sounds like you got a bargain at that price! As for modding it! i would say that changing the wheels & lowering it would bump up the price of your insurance a bit & would prob attract unwanted attention too your new pride & joy. But they can look good with some simple mod's....
Pugster...

Well you see, I'm friends with the guy who owns the fastest Alfa in the world, he's had loads of experience with modding cars and says that them mods shouldn't make too much difference. Like I said, just toying with the idea, would love to get some 'real' alloys lol but they're way too expensive, so will save for now and get a car that's a bit nippier in a couple of years, save the expense for a different toy. Will be sure to ring different insurers though when looking for cover for my new baby, so will see what the future holds from this maybe...

hey there, what type of 309 is it?? if its a single point injection one or carburetted then maybe a bolt on knN would make nice noise plus improve your throttle response!? cheap way into modding always a favorite. cute pic too nutter.

You can read a little history on the 309 (which will answer the question why its the only '09 series Peugeot) on the Rootes Talbot link from the main page. The 309 was never intended to be a Peugeot, but it turned out an excellent member of the family !
