Hi there, I'm new to the forum but belong to a similar forum in Oz. I was just wondering if anyone knew of anyone in the UK or indeed Europe that has a 403 or early 404 diesel. I bought an engine kit for a 404 diesel (XD88) from a guy in Belgium on Ebay but when it got here, it was for a 403 early 404 diesel (XD85) so was no use to me. He wouldn't take it back so I am now stuck with it and would love to see it go to someone needing such a rare kit. It is genuine Peugeot, is brand new in the box and includes pistons and liners as well as all gaskets. If anyone knows off anyone that has such a car, please let them know of this and tell them to contact me. I am coming to the UK in a few months so could deliver. Cheers, Dan

Nope, his name was Alain Delange or thereabouts. He swore up and down that it was for an XD88 and would not measure the pistons as requested as he was so confident that there was only one 404 diesel... wrong. I'd never heard of the XD85 either until I started to research why the pistons wouldn't fit. THe XD85 was the first of the XD series diesel and I believe the one of the first diesels Peugeot made in any numbers. Someone in Europe must have one of these engines and I'd love for them to use this kit as noone in Oz will, we never got the darn things! BTW, thanks for the reply to my other post and the support 104ZS. ;D
