Help My heater blower seems to have developed a mind of it's own! Sometimes it works OK. Other times it speeds up and slows down, then stops completely, regardless of the speed setting. Haynes shows a motor control unit and a speed control, but gives no locations for these. Anyone know how I can get at these parts to try to fix the blower? Many thanks

Thanks Frank I found the blower in the passengers foot well, under a removable fibre cover. There is a transistor / thermistor mounted on a heatsink held in the blower casing by two screws. When removed it was covered in dust and the printed circuit looked a bit corroded. I cleaned everything and carefully wire brushed the printed circuit connections, and WD40ied the lot. Having put it all back the heater blower seems to be working OK now. If it goes wrong again the theremistor is easy enough to find in a scrap car.
