405 tail lights help

Hi,
Just like to say i've got a 93 405 1.8td, which i believe is the mk1 (because it has the black trim on the tailgate,) thing is i got some lexus lights for it for chrimbo but i dont think they will fit as the are for 92 onwards, i just need someone to tell me what it is if they can.

Also what is the difference in the lights?

93 is right on the change over year between mk1 & 2, the easiest wat to tell is the dash board, if it is a mk1 it will have a box type cover on the instrument cluster, where as the mk 2 is rounder looking, the other way is the boot lid, if it is an mk2 the boot lid will shut right next to the bumper whereas the mk1 is a high line boot lid. If your is a mk1 then the light will not fit.

Mk2 dash has no junk holes like Mk1, very frustrating
