504 Estate on ebay, location Wiltshire.

Just seen this tidy 1982 X reg 504 estate on ebay. Its at a museum in Calne, Wiltshire. Starting at £25. 8 days to run. I have emailed for some more mechanical status. Pics make it look a tidy motor, whats underneath could be another matter.

I've just received additional pictures of this 504.

Its a 1.8 carb'y model, with basic L trim (plastic seats, no consol). 4 speed manual. The wheels are oval vent from a early 504. It looks all complete, but rust has set in to the bottom of the doors, but the tailgate looks clean. The rust has started on the inner wings and they look week under the bonnet.

The engine turns over but wouldn't start. Its got a reading of just over 81000 miles.

Its now just over £50 on ebay, and worth that for spare parts I guess, seems cheep enough for the price of a gearbox?
