UK 505 Questions

I've been thinking of buying a 505 for a while now. They were great cars when I was growing up in Africa, and if they can last out there, then they should be fairly reliable?

Anyway, I just wanted to know if there were any UK spec 505s made with air conditioning. I've been in a few that had it out in Nigeria and Kenya, but not seen it crop up on UK cars.

Also, was the V6 model available here? And was there a manual GTI? All the GTIs I see seem to be automatics. Was it the GTI that had a turbo?

505 - fantastic car and currently huge value for money. Lok on the for sale page on the main cpuk website there are quite a few for sale at the moment.

A top spec GTi or V6 should have air con, if it still works is another matter. The V6 was fairly common here but the majority of saloons will be the 2 litre or diesel. Manual GTi's are also fairly common, nearly all v6's are auto. The GTi Turbo was a US and european spec car only. No UK version.

Quite a few gti estates around too. Values are all over the place with people asking silly money for no reason while others are giving the away. I don't know anyone that's been dissapointed with having bought a 505.
