If you have a sliding roof on your TD or GTI, keep the four drainage pipes clear or you may end up with water in the front footwells. The forward pipes run down the window pillars, and if allowed to block and rust you will end up with water in the footwell. Took me a long time to find where the water was coming from. To check if all pipes are clear, pour water in the sunshine roof channels and see if it runs out of the drainage pipes at the back of the rear wheels, and at the rear of the front wheel arches.
