I've got a rare japanese spec 205CTi which im thinking about altering cos it's too slow . Really want a GTi6 engine and a manual gearbox instead of the autobox What do you think ? or should i keep it as standard ? as i already have a fast 205 (genuine Turbo technics version)

Mod it, as a cancelled order of Auto CTi's isn;t really a case for a rare car and the boxes always give up the ghost, just keep the A/C thou

Good 205GTi's/CTi's are now seen as classics and fetching funny money. I'd say that an unusual original one is likely to be worth more than an unusual chopped about one. Since you already have a fast 205, maybe you can keep one for comfort and one for speed.... ;-) (Or sell it and buy one with a blown engine for your mods and pocket the difference).

Fit nitrous - go fast.
When car becomes really rare, collectable and a genuine classic, remove nitrous - smile piously.
