Hello there from a newbie!! ;D
I have recently bought a J reg 205 GRD. It's fantastic to drive and I'm loving owning it already, but....... it has a problem with the rear suspension that I'm hoping somebody can help me with.
When looking at the rear of the car, the car leans to the right! The offside rear wheel is rubbing on the inside of the arch when cornering left or when I place anything heavy-ish in the boot
Having obtained a Haynes manual, and this telling me I have to take it do a dealer to do any work on the rear suspension, i'm at a loss. I have an engineering background and worked on cars for the last 14 years, so working on the car isn't a problem, I'm just not sure where to start, so I decided to post on here to see if anyone can help.
Many thanks
Dale

you can strip and rebuild the rear suspension quite easily, itll only be the radius arm bearings that will be worn, but if its worn that much then it wont be able to be saved. the shafts wil be rotten, i would find a rebuilt rear beam from a specialist or a good second hand one and replace it.
