Hello all. Im having some problems removing the drum from my 205. I cant actually undo the nut (32mm). I have been trying for approx 2 hours and am ready to give up. I realise that when the nut was put on it had been bent a little with a screwdriver, i have tried to re-shape it but with no luck. also, can anyone say for sure which way the nut will undo? anticlockwise? Please help, it's raining and I might have to give up and buy a ford!!! Thanks everyone!

hi, so heres what i've tried so far, i've bent a ratchet into a cool 'S' shape. almost crusher my fingers using an impact driver and the dam thing still wont shift (well it's moved approx 3 millimeters in 3 days)
I've sprayed on loads of wd40, tried a bit greese
still nothing
any ideas folks?
nb. thanks for confirming it undoes anti-colckwise!!

Hopefully you have got the nut off by now. If not here is my suggestion.
"Bent with a screwdriver" is a clue. It has been 'staked' to prevent it coming loose. First get a replacement nut. Then carefully saw through the thickness of the nut adjacent to the threads in two opposite places, taking care not to cut into the threads or into the drum. Split the nut off with a chisel, hitting away from the threads.
