i think that the engine mount has to be loosened and the engine tilted to get at the turbo, is there an easier way than that or have i got it wrong

It`s a pig of a job, remove the o/s top mount and pull the engine forward [mind the rad].I find it best to remove the inlet manifold first, then exhaust/turbo in one and fit the turbo on the bench, you will have problems with seized bolts so start with quality tools.Only use an exchange unit [KKK or Garret] from one of the specialists.Don`t even think of a second hand one..Then the most important part of the whole job is to make sure the oil feed is perfect. Before you start the job run the engine with oil flush [Forte] and change the oil and filter.

Yes,a trolley jack to support the engine before you remove the top mount, then rock it forward on the jack.

finaly got around to trying to remove the turbo, got stuck, took all of the parts off upto where the engine mount comes off, there is a rubber mount in the metal bracket with a square top on, no matter how hard i pulled and pushed it would not budge do i need a special tool , to get it out or am i missing something, didn,t want to go to mad in case i did damage. is there a bolt underneath the square top rubber ( does this have to come off first) thanks...tried leavering with a large screwdriver but still no joy

It just unscrews, they are never tight a big pair of grips should do the job if you have not got the socket to fit it.There will be another nut under it,remove that together with the three on the head and the whole ally bracket comes off.

ok, then , i will try again, there is a piece of rubber mount covering the nut up , ( thats the piece i couldn,t get to come out, or rather didn,t want to go to mad at ) checked against my other peugeot which is 2 years younger and the top piece of rubber is not there but i can see the nut to undo. thought they might have changed it,
