Hi all
I have just bought a 205 last night and it is all fine apart from the power steering which to me feels too heavy. It is a k reg 1.6 auto. How heavy should the power steering be on these, when I turn the wheel I can hear the power steering motor making a noise but it still feels heavier than any power steering I have had before, is this normal? I have checked the steering fluid level and this is fine?
Any Ideas?
Thanks Shaun

What is heavy or what is light.Try the difference between going lock to lock with engine running and not running, that will tell you the PAS is working [or not]Then change the fluid and use some Forte PAS additive,it works wonders.

Worth checking tyre pressure as well.
On a non-PAS car, low-inflated tyres car make steering heavy. Inflate tyres to proper pressure and it's like having PAS on the car!
