405 TD cam belt snapped

One cap was shattered, so it's a goner.
I don't really want to take the head off, I have taken two heads off other cars before, and it takes me too long (I usually find I lack one tool or another and this always slows me down).
Thought I might take a chance and just replace cam shaft and caps, align timing, fit new belt & hope valves have survived.
Car is not worth much anyway, so I can't do too much more damage!

As I said its an all or nothing job,you can get a complete recon` head ready to fit from Bridge Cylinder Heads for £275 +VAT if the cars not worth it save your time and money get another 405TD and keep this one for spares??

id go with oldpug on this one if your not gonna bother with a nother head i wouldnt bother
