A very girlie question I am afraid.
Is there anyway I can lock myself in my car if I have central locking? With all the news about car jacking I am keen to hang on to my car! I drive a 406 Executive.
Any advice would be great.

A very girlie question indeed Simply push the central locking button that is inside the car. on a Coupé, they're just above the handle and you push one of them forward to lock the doors. Don't know where the button is saloon/estate (somewhere on the dashboard if not next to the handles) but it'll be in the manual...

Thanks for the info, problem is I have no button inside the car and no manual! Maybe it is time I bought one....
It maybe that orginally the car had romote locking but when I bought it I have to key lock it. Could that have anything do do with it?
Well at least there are lots of mirrors to apply lipstick!

Every "modern" car with central locking has an internal button to lock and release the doors; the 406 is no exception. Even my dad's 1982 Renault 20 had one.
