Some time in the next few months I fancy buying a 206 Roland Garros, the 16V version. Can any 206 guru please answer the following: 1 Was there ever an LPG option? 2 Is cruise control fitted, and if not was it an option? 3 Were there any changes to spec during the production run (eg switch to Multiplex wiring?) which are worth watching for? 4 Is there anything else I should watch for?

LPG is not an option on 206. Peugeot, in their own words belive diesel is the future. You can have an aftermarket conversion but ensure you have one that is Department of Transport approved for insurance purposes. You might be lucky to get a grant if the car is under 5 years old, and is on the Powershift register. Special editions are often not on the register though and they wont grant any money even though its mechanical identical to say, an LX model.
